Summary
In the town of Torrance, California, there lies a Italian immigrant family. A member of that family of the family of six was named Louis Silvie Zamperini. Louie was mischievous as a child and as he grew older he became a runner, a talented runner. His talent would take him to the Olympics in Berlin, Germany. As the U.S the was beginning to enter the World War II, Louie decides to join up and he becomes an airman. On one of his flights, his bomber crashes into the ocean, leaving only three survivors. He and another survivor would be saved but by the the Japaneses. They would be sent to POW camps. He would survive the dreadful POW camps. He would later become married but because of the POW camps, he suffered PTSD. His PTSD would helped by him converting to Christianity. He would set on a journey of forgiveness to those who guarded the POW camps.
